They Lost How Much During the Detox Phase of the DEM System

THE RESULTS ARE IN! Every week, we keep getting great results from people who are using the DETOX-EAT-MOVE (DEM) System to lose weight, be healthy and get their sexy back! Here’s just a few of the results we received this week

a. Lisa and her brother Larry started the DEM System together. I the first 3 weeks, her brother lost 17 pounds and she lost 10 pounds. She said she probably lost less because she already eats really healthy, but this is the first time she has detoxified her body and is feeling healthier than ever? 5 Tips for Great Success During the Detox Phase of the DEM System:

  1. Prepare, Prepare, Prepare: You have to get your mind right and you have to get all of your foods and supplements in advance of starting the DEM System. During the Detox Phase of the DEM System, you have to avoid the Big 6 Foods, which are a lot of foods you’re probably used to eating. Thus, you have to go grocery shopping to get the foods that are allowed during this phase. Key supplements like the digestive cleansers, green drink, and fiber are also mandatory for detoxing and cleansing the body during this phase. So, get prepared before you begin!
  2. Focus on Inches, Not Pounds. As a general rule of thumb, weigh yourself every 7 days, and take your measurements every 30 days. Your measurements should be taken for your bust, waist, hips and thighs. Don’t overly focus on the pounds on the scale from day-to-day as your weight will fluctuate due to the body consisting of water, muscle mass, and body fat. You want to lose excess water weight and body fat, but maintain as much muscle mass as possible. So, focus on how your clothes fit, what your measurements are and your overall energy levels.
  3. Be Anti-Social: Seriously! Minimize socializing events and focus on rest and relaxation. Whenever you’re detoxing the body, you may be a little cranky, irritable and more fatigued than normal. Be sure to get a good night’s sleep. Sleep is the body’s way of recharging the system and is the easiest yet most underrated activity to heal the body. Short-changing sleep time or going to bed stressed interferes with the best time for losing those extra pounds. Also, you don’t want friends and family to tempt you during this important phase of the DEM System so try to lay low for a few weeks.
  4. Drink This, Not That: Drink more water. The best options are spring water, alkaline water, or coconut water. Drinking water and staying hydrated is absolutely critical for detoxing and cleansing the body. Water flushes out toxins and supports every metabolic process in the body, carrying toxins and waste away from cells to the kidneys to be removed from the body. Water is essential to a healthy, functioning body.
  5. Stay Right There. The results in the first phase will yield fast weight loss. In addition, the foods and supplements that you consume during this phase are great for health and vitality. So, there is no harm in staying in this phase longer than the 3 weeks. Three weeks is just the amount of time it takes to jumpstart detoxification and break the addiction to foods that are unhealthy and fattening. Some of my clients stay in the Detox Phase for 6-8 weeks because they love the weight loss and improved health they’re experiencing. This is no problem at all!

    I lost 8 lbs so far on the DEM System.     Sugar-free candy is OK, in moderation… But also try fresh fruit to curb your sugar cravings… hang in there, the first 3-5 days are TOUGH!!! But, there is light at then end of the tunnel!

    Hi JJ,

    I’m starting DEM this sunday. I’m 250lbs 5’11 and I want to lose 50lbs. I heard you on the Steve Harvey show and purchased your book ASAP. I too have tried many diets and failed. Your book was the first to target hormonal inbalance and detoxing the body before beginning he new life style change. I am so excited. I am a country cook and love my seasoning can I use some of them. What kind of salad dressing can I use? I will keep you posted.

    Congrats Ms. Jackie!!! I’m so excited about your journey! Someone told me yesterday that this new DEM lifestyle of healthy living is addictive and fun! Seasonings are allowed, in fact, spicy seasonings/peppers actually boost the metabolim by 23% for up to 3 hours after eating them. My recommended seasonings on the DEM System are Celtic Sea salt, garlic, onions, ginger, and tamari, spicy peppers, cayenne pepper. Do not use regular table salt. The healthiest choices for salad dressings olive oil, flaxseed oil, avocado oil. In fact, google “olive oil salad dressing recipe’ and you’ll find many great recipes!     I’m really excited about reading your book and starting the DEM process!! I heard you on Steve Harvey Wednesday morning and ordered the book while you guys were on-air. I have a 14 week old (my first) and while I’m excited to be a new mom, I am SOOOO ready to get rid of the pregnancy weight. I’ve battled weight issues in the past and I was about 15 lbs over my ideal weight when I got pregnant. I abandoned my healthier eating habits during pregnancy. I ate alot of meat and desserts. Now I am 45 lbs overweight. I’m ready to let it go so I can be a healthy, active mom for our son. I’m sure I’ll have questions along the way so I’m glad you have this forum. I’ll be visiting often.     JJ, I heard the Steve Harvey Show and I wanted to find out more about your program. This is on the cuff of me making an appointment with my dr. to get prescribed Phentermine. I am so frustruated. I have been on Phentermine in the past, I lost great but gained it back surely. I have chronic asthma episodes so im constantly on Prednisone (steroid) which makes me soooo hungry. My tummy feels like a bottomless pit. I’m up to 222, the highest weight i’ve ever been. Im so frustrated! I’m in tears. I never feel full, I can eat and eat and eat and within an hour my stomach is screaming. Although, I dont eat “a lot” of food, I just snack on senseless food, like cereal, a slice of turkey rolled in cheese, chips and so on. I normally do not eat big full meals. I have never had a body detox before so I can this is my first start. I’m still debating the Phentermine again, but now that I am getting this book, I may wait to see what happens or either use them together. What do you advise. (Note: I have about 5 more days of my Prednison blast)

    Hello JJ. I purchased your book last week and I am extremely excited about the potential for great results. Your book includes a wealth of knowledge. I have one question, do you have a table or other with a sample daily meal plan for the detox phase. Although I fall off the rocker with maintaining healthly eating, generally I do pretty well but I battle fibroids so that makes things a little challenging. I am very busy and find it a little easier if there was at least 1 pre-planned daily meal chart. Again I am excited about this book and look forward to your response!

    I just purchased your book this week and am excited! I wanted to know if you have an actual sample of a daily menu for the detox phase of your diet. I am a pretty healthy eater in general but battle fibroids so I think food combinations my hinder my progress. For example, I love most beans and brown rice. Would it delay progress if they are consumed together? Thanks in advance for your response. I am very excited and can’t wait to start seeing results!!!

Btw, DANELLEC, beans and brown rice are a great option! DANNY, we’re working on getting the menus/recipes in an app over the next few weeks so we’re working on it. But off the top of my head: breakfast (steel cut oats/oatmeal with fresh blueberries; lunch: fresh salad with raisins, grapes, nuts, etc. and olive oil salad dressing; dinner: brown rice and black beans, and for a healthy snack (an apple or handful of nuts/sunflower seeds). I hope that helps!

    Can You recommend a cookbook? Giving me all the tools but no practical application to combine those ingredients into realistic tasty meals have stopped my healthy plight in the past. I feel lost. I go to whole foods and fill my fridge but then dont have interesting things to make. I also wanna make this a change for my children. Any help is appreciated.

    Hi JJ,

    I learned about you from the Steve Harvey show and I am excited about your book. I ordered it this weekend, I am going to give this diet a real change and I hope it works. I am not really looking at this as a diet but as a life style change. I was reading about the Supplements you have to take and I have to be honest, I have a really hard time swallowing pills. I hope some of them are fairly small or in power form. I love smoothies even though I have a feeling I will not be able to drink them during the detox stage.

    I have purchased your book and am anxious about getting started. However, I have a concern about the Rapid Detox. Is it absolutely necessary to consume 10-12 glasses a day of the mixture in order to get results. PLEASE say isn’t so. I don’t think I can handle that for 2 weeks.     I just started gaining weight after my 2nd child, who is 22 yrs old. I started to notice weight gain 5 yrs ago not much but enough, my weight now is 221, I’m 5’6 have high blood pressure. I started using the CleanseSmart Total-Body Internal Cleanse a 30 day program, but nothing helps. I’m not a breakfast person, my bfast comes round 11:30, after that I’m full until 530-600pm and I’m done eating, but I stay tired (sleeping) don’t like going anywhere, doing things, going out to the movies nothing. I have a 50th bday celebration on 3/10/12 and I really thought about canceling my party, please help me!!!!!

    Hello, JJ I bought your book when I heard you on the Steve Harvey Show. I only want to lose 25lbs and Im having the hardest time. I have been taking for the last four days Mag07, its cleaning me out but I cant stop eating the same and I’m only taking 3 pills at night which also its hard because I’m a nurse and I work 3/12hours shifts a week. I’m getting marry november 2012, and I really want to be a size ten but size eight will be the cherry on the cake.
