Let’s talk about cellulite.

But first, a note: This article is about cellulite; what it is, why we have it, and what we can do about it. Before we dive into all of this information, it’s important to point out that most women will have cellulite at some point in her life. The good news is your body isn’t “ruined” for having some lumps and bumps and I have an inexpensive, effective method to reduce the appearance of stubborn cellulite.

What is it?

Cellulite is basically an accumulation of stored fat that causes a dimple/ripple effect. It’s usually found on the front and back of your thighs, and your butt. It’s due to a sluggish lymphatic system. The lymphatic system is a secondary circulatory system that’s underneath the skin and helps the body get rid of toxic waste, bacteria, and dead cells. When you cleanse the lymphatic system, you aid your body in getting rid of fatty deposits.

Reduce Cellulite the natural way

Body brushing has become a popular way to reduce the overall appearance of cellulite on the skin. The key is to make sure you’re brushing towards your heart to stimulate your lymphatic system. The light pressure against your skin helps move lymph fluid into the lymph nodes so that waste can be eliminated.

How do you dry brush?

First, make sure you have the correct brush. Look for firm bristles—typically a boar’s hair or tampico bristle brush. Because dry brushing wakes up and energizes the body, I suggest doing it in the morning before you shower. Using long, upward strokes, start at your feet and work up each leg. Move to your arms and chest, but avoid your breasts (body brushing might be too harsh for such a sensitive area). Finish at your mid-section.

Body brushing improves circulation, gets rid of layers of dead skin, renews your current skin, and most importantly, removes the toxins in your system that are causing cellulite.
